You probably know that there are many things you could do to keep your teeth strong and healthy. However, even if you care for your teeth well, you might still experience a dental emergency. Naturally, we suggest keeping a few things on hand, including gauze or a cold compress. Still, what would you do if you ever break, crack, or fracture a pearly white?
In reality, losing one of your teeth should be considered a dental emergency. This is partially because our team could save your tooth if you visit us within 30 minutes of the accident. However, when you come into our office, please be aware that you shouldn’t grab your injured tooth by its root. Similarly, we suggest placing pieces of the tooth in cold milk when you’re on your way to our office.
You should also try to get into our office quickly if one of your pearly whites breaks. Like a lost tooth, please try not to handle the tooth by its root. You should also find and gather as many pieces of your tooth as you can and place them in a glass or container of milk when you come to visit our team. Conversely, if your tooth chips, please set up an appointment with us as soon as possible. Still, if you can’t meet with us right away, you can wait a few days before meeting with us.
